BTS - How to shoot a flying food shot

The picture below was created by taking individual pictures and then compositing them using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.

We used a 2 light setup, Lights were the Godox SK400II, one with a reflector and a honeycombe 10 degree filter (1/4 Power) and the other with a stripbox (1/2 Power), the camera and lens were the Canon eos 5D Mark III and a 105mm Sigma Macro Lens f/2.8, settings in camera were f/11, 1/200, iso 100...

The camera was tethered to Lighroom and live view was used, we did one image just on a composited background and another using a plate as the launch platform, 9 stills were selected and used to create the finally images (but 100's were taken), these were made of a shot of the bun (top and bottom), lettuce, tomato, burger, cheese, onion and a separate shot of someone holding the plate… if your interested in learning how VèreNorth.Photography can help to lift your products to another level and allow you to better present them, then get in touch or for more information about pricing check out our website at www.verenorth.photography/services-basic or if you’d like to see some of our work before hand go to www.verenorth.photography/copy-of-portfolio or if you’d like to contact us with an enquiry www.verenorth.photography/contact we are always here to help, guide and advise.
